How It Performs On Each Terrain

🏖 Beach Detecting
The Gold Digger is not suited to beach detecting – its lack of ground balance means heavy mineralisation will cause constant false signals.
🪙 Gold Prospecting
Not recommended for gold prospecting. Its low frequency and minimal discrimination give no advantage in goldfield soils.
🌱 For Beginners
The simplest detector on the market – two knobs, a beep when metal is found. Perfect for a first outing with a child.
🪙 Coin Shooting
Will find shallow coins in a park, but don’t expect depth or good discrimination between coin types.
🏹 Relic Hunting
Not suitable for serious relic hunting – insufficient depth and no target ID to separate iron junk from good targets.

Pros & Cons

👍 What We Like

The Bottom Line
3.8/10

A basic entry-level machine best viewed as a low-cost way into the hobby. Best suited to beginner-level detectorists focused on coins, all-purpose.
